Tamara Pilblad was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Tamara attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison, graduating with distinction in 1992. Tamara earned a J.D. from Georgetown University Law School in 1997. While attending Georgetown, Tamara worked for the Judiciary subcommittee on Terrorism, Technology and Government Information (United States Senate).
Following admission to the New York Bar in January, 1998, Tamara volunteered for active duty in the United States Army's Judge Advocate General's Corp (JAG). Tamara was stationed in Germany, Washington, D.C. and The United States Military Academy at West Point.
Tamara was assigned to the United States Criminal Investigation Division (CID), where she provided legal guidance on investigations, consensual intercept operations (wiretaps) and agent misconduct. She also provided legal support to the United States Criminal Investigation Laboratory.
Tamara was the labor and employment lawyer for Major Army Commands in the United States and Germany. In this capacity, Tamara represented the Department of the Army in matters brought by civilian employees in state and federal courts and administrative forums such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. In addition to her primary duties, Tamara was selected as the ethics advisor in Germany, Washington and West Point.
Tamara was honorably discharged from the United States Army as a Captain in 2003. That year, Tamara joined a small Manhattan law firm as a labor and employment associate. Tamara became a licensed private investigator in 2005. Tamara recently left Citigroup's Ethics Department to focus her time and energy on child safety issues and to manage Nanny Cam, Inc.
